Background
Emma commenced her career working in legal practices as a legal secretary and then as a law clerk while studying her Bachelor of Laws and subsequent Diploma of Legal Practice. She worked on matters across a range of practice areas including conveyancing both in NSW & QLD, wills and estates, criminal law and civil litigation. During this period Emma worked in a law firm with both a regional NSW office and an inner-city Brisbane office, where she gained experience in a broad range of legal matters across both state jurisdictions.
Emma is from a farming family and grew up in regional NSW. She is passionate about providing access to quality legal services to those needing those services most.
When working as a newly admitted lawyer in a regional area, Emma predominantly assisted families in family law matters including difficult parenting disputes. She assisted parents in the Care and Protection jurisdiction as well as clients who have experienced domestic and family violence. Emma takes a holistic approach to family law matters and works with her clients to attain child-focused parenting solutions.
